4th July independence Brownies

Recipe from M&M’s


Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1/4 tsp salt

2 eggs

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2/3 cup M&M’s Red White & Blue Milk Chocolate, divided

1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

4 graham cracker squares, lightly crushed

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, melted


Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease 8-inch square cake pan; line with parchment paper.

2. In saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; let cool slightly. Whisk in sugar, cocoa powder and salt until combined. Beat in eggs, one at a time; beat in vanilla. Stir in flour just until combined; stir in half of the M&M’s.


3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or just until set. Remove from oven; scatter marshmallows evenly over top. Return to oven; bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until marshmallows are golden.


4. Sprinkle with graham crackers and remaining M&M’s. Drizzle with chocolate. Let cool completely before cutting into squares or bars.


Secret Tip

Instead of dark chocolate chips, use milk chocolate chips.
